Serendipity

This is just a small illustration for speak up. It's an image to explain the word serendipity. So those who don't know what it is, it's when you look for something but find something else, something better. I just had frogs stuck in the rain that found an umbrella that became their little pond home.
ink
This is just a practise of ink but i love it for the image. It's a hand print with the paper folded pushed together. But to me i see a tree on a hill with a graveyard. At the bottom of the page the tree is reflected on the ground as if its wet or some kind of pond. And then theirs a hole with shovels beneath it.

plants
I did this during drawing class. The assignment was to draw a plant and then repeat the texture, make an abstract image by recreating and warping what you started with. I started with a small branch with leaf's and in the end it ended up looking like a creepy forest with a few trees when really they were only branch's. The mediums i used was ink, charcoal, geso, water, and a lavender pastel.

Hot air balloon
For visual communications I had to create something out of everyday objects. At first I attempted to creater snowmen out of marshmellows but a friend of mine tried to eat them. They also looked too scary. So I decided to create an hot air balloon for my project. For the basket i cut a soda can in half and bended down the sides to soften it. Sugar bags hanged off the sides to look like tiny bags which had a good font you'd see in homedepot. Then a pink balloon for the actual air balloon. I needed something to hold everything together. I can nver get myself to flawse so, PERFECT! It all tied together, more stable then ordinary string. In the end i tied a bottle cap beneath the balloon and i was done.
